Here's a link to the song on youtube, but it's a bit easier to find on Spotify: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQptK6lFO9c
This is what I've got so far

You're the one I'll never get
I'm the one you can't forget
It's never easy but we try,
We stay friends and go on with our lives

Your body on my mind
The birthmark on your thigh
Midnight embraces between crumpled sheets
Forced a pace on my fragile heartbeats (?)

It was a cold war
Suspicious minds and locking the doors
A cold war,
It takes some time to forget how we felt before
Love is lost and the lack of trust is feeling you up

Lovers slowly drowned
Friendships could survive
How do we act
When the other one's around
When we part, can I kiss you goodbye?

Your words on my mind
I guess that I was fighting this ... (?)
So we're at the story of how we once met
And maybe someday I'll finally forget

It was a cold war
Suspicious minds and locking the doors
A cold war,
It takes some time to forget how we felt before
Love is lost and the lack of trust is feeling you up

Here's what it sounds like to me, Samantha. The last line of teh fifth stanza doesn't appear to make sense - but I've no idea what dialect of English she is using, but I guess she is Scandinavian. I hear the song differently from you in several places, and suspect you may be falling into the trap of makng the script gramatically sound and the meaning clear, when what is actually sung is only almost grammatically sound and almost clear, while I'm maybe falling into the trap of taking the singer's pronunciation as if she were trying to sing received standard English in the loose and sloppy way that it is mostly used in informal speech, but very few people ever speak that and even fewer sing it.

You're the one I'll never get
You're the one I can't forget
It's never easy though we try,
We stay friends and go on with our lives

You're the body on my mind
Birthmark on your thigh
Midnight embraces between crumpled sheets
Forced a pace on fragile heartbeats.

You're the cold boy
Suspicious mind and off you would go
You're the cold boy
It takes some time to forget how we felt before
Love is lost and lack of trust is feeling new, aooh

Lover and story drowned
Friendships could survive
How do we act then
the other once round?
When we part, should I kiss you goodbye?

Your words on my mind
because the hour is frightened, is blind,
We're at the story of how we once met
Maybe some day I'll chain for a game [? what can that mean ?]

You're a little cold, boy
Suspicious minds now open the door
It was a cold morn,
It takes some time to forget now how we were
Love is lost and lack of trust is feeling new all night.

Hi Michael! She is from Sweden, yes, so that could explain why the English isn't totally perfect in some areas. You're probably right about me falling into the trap of wanting to make the text grammatically correct, and I wouldn't be surprised that someone is interpreting it differently from me, sometimes I have trouble with understanding sung language and hear things incorrectly. It happens. Your transcription does seem correct but I am stuck on that line in the 5th stanza as well. Maybe trying to sound too informal was the singer's undoing?

That line in the fifth stanza is really problematic. I can't believe she would mispronounce "change the game" (or maybe "change the whole game", but that's not very English) so that it sounds like "chain for a game" but I can't think of anything else she might be trying to say that sounds like what she sings.

Hmmm I might have to listen to it again and see what it sounds like again. I can’t imagine pronouncing change the game that incorrectly, even for someone whose native language isn’t English.

We both feel that. It might be a useful to ask someone whose native language is Swedish what they make of it - do you know any LT members who are Swedish and have some English capability?

Yeah most Swedes have really good English. The issue is finding people who speak Swedish and are active but I’ll tag a couple [@crackedwalnut] [@Isterdam] [@ninni97]

Hey guys! Native Swede here!

I found another version, give it a listen because it's much clearer > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lgCzkPgdgs

To me, it definitely sounds like she's singing "And maybe some day I'll actually forget" in the fifth stanza!

Interesting singer. Her sincerity is touching and her voice can deliver.

I quite like her as well, her song Shimmer is one of the songs I listen to most at the moment.

Thanks, crackedwalnut. That's much clearer throughout than the video we were working from. There are quite a few differences from what we have currently, and I think that some of them may not be because she sings more clearly, but because she sings different words. So maybe we now have two diffeent versions of the song. I guess it would be best to replace the video by the new clearer one and change the words to fit - that way the lyrics and the video would match.

Should I watch the new video and try to come up with a new transcription from that and then we compare again?

Tom, Samantha, OMG, I remember doing that but where did my suggestions go? I must have forgotten to post them and now they're lost. I'll do that again. Why are some people so stupid? And Samantha, I remember about your Dingo song. :)

Awww Nadia, sorry that you didn't post them, I hope it's not too much work to redo it!

Yeah I'm always in the forums for help with transcriptions. :p Maybe I should stop trying to do them so much.

So you act the story of Harvey 1, who owns me
And maybe someday I'll excel you, boy, again

Samantha, I've been transcribing since the age of ten. And I got one thing clear. Transcribing is like seeking the truth. You may blunder and fall, get up and go on but you can never stop. Like you can never stop seeking the truth. :)

"So you act the story of Harvey, who owns me
And maybe someday I'll excel you, boy, again"

Should perhaps be:

"So (you act/we're at/rewrite) the story of how we once met
And maybe someday I'll actually forget"

I also believe all the "he was a cold war" should be "it was a cold war".

Don't really know why, but some Swedes have taken one step further than "alveolar flapping" (t -> d) and almost completely omit the t/d in English. Hence, "met" can easily be mistaken for "me" (with a shorter e), and "it" for "he". But what do I know, I wouldn't even pass for a hobby linguist.

I think there are a couple of places where neither of the two videos we have looked at has a soundtrack that matches your transcription, Nadia.

Based on the vidteo that crackedwalnut suggested (which is much clearer than the one we were using earlier) I would disagree with your text as follows:-
stanza 1 line 3 : "though" not "but"
stanza 4 line 4 : "one's" "ones"
stanza 4 line 5 : "can I kiss" not "can kiss"
stanza 5 line 3 = "Do you act the story of how we once met?
stanza 5 line 4 : "I'll actually forget" not "I'll excel you, boy, again"
stanza 6 line 5 : "trust's" not "trust is"

I agree with Isterdam and michaelt. I think we’re reading a bit too much into the singer’s accent.

Hi everyone, I'm sorry for the delay, I'm usually only active on weekdays while I'm at work. I will be listening to and contributing shortly but I won't be active much today either (long story short, I hurt my ankle and don't feel like doing much of anything). Sorry everyone!
