Stardust

All has finally become One1, with our hearts beating in unison
What comes before has swapped places with what comes after
In deities and scriptures, in speaking or listening
In all my life I’ve observed the greatness of All through the Law of One2

Through the tide of time, we’ve seen through the Flat Earth and the Canopy of Heaven3
The true and the false, the virtual and the real, coexisting on the exterior and the interior
Hate and love repel not one another; brightness and darkness, gratitude and grudge, minutes and seconds – they all cancel out each other

Through all generations, it was but me, only me, who was consumed in flames
Enveloped in love, I alone see the stardust illuminated by my light
Yet when I’m on my own, it’s hard to compare the profundity of the lives of other beings
One day, the Soul willed there to be light, and there was light4
And day and night were brought apart5
Departing from Oneness, we then divide into two

Our frowns and smiles are the emissions of pulsars
The red giant degenerates into a white dwarf in its finale
Revolving, then rotating
See the supernovae collapse and explode; hear the black hole roar

Revisiting the beginning of the universe, studded with stars
The karmic cycle and the series of fortunes and misfortunes never end
The good and the evil we hide within our hearts will come to light in the mortal world

Through all generations, it was but me, only me, who was consumed in flames
Enveloped in love, I alone see the stardust illuminated by my light
Yet when I’m on my own, it’s hard to compare the profundity of the lives of other beings
One day, the Soul willed there to be light, and there was light
And day and night were brought apart
Departing from Oneness, you and I can differentiate each other

From my body came all things into being – my pores, my muscles and skin, my blood vessels, my heart6
In prosperity and desolation, over smooth and rough terrain, through opposites we experience the passage of time
Forget your admiration for the skies; let go of your every self
For both you and I, in days of yore, originated from that holy, dazzling, resplendent dawn

We fight for peace through wars and catastrophes
Our sentiments crumble in development and pandemonium

In chaotic times, it is but me, only me, who is troubled
Remembering you, as I must face your unpredicted death7
Human relations have grown too frosty – it’s hard to resummon the warmth
Gazing into the night sky, I wanted to see the light, and there seemed to be light
Yet who actually looks at the fickle constellations?8
Nostalgic for Oneness, we yearn for the twinkling stars
Fixate not on three-dimensional space; let’s join hands and venture into the distance

While space and time force us apart
We’ll embrace under the blue sky and reunite with ourselves9
Time and again we’ll find ourselves in the sorrows and joys of love
I’ve found you within memory space10
Verifying, in every dimension, the innumerable lives and deaths among the stars
