Tes yeux

The spider

A spider falls asleep on the floor,
tired, exhausted.
Just a little more lazily,
a drop of water appears among the hair on its back
Yet surely I1 do not look so ugly to you,
slender, sharp2.
Careful hunting ????3
thrown all alone into the dead of night
A spider falls asleep on the floor,
tired, exhausted.
  • 1. I suppose it's the spider speaking, though it might be the locutor comparing himself with the spider
  • 2. both words mean "slender", the second being stronger, just like "tired, exhausted"
  • 3. this is wrongly transcribed and does not make sense

This looks like the transcription I did yesterday, with another title and the blank filled by random words.
Since you seem to really want this to get translated, I'll do it, but it will be incomplete and make little sense.

Interestingly, the video referenced (like the title of the French text) has no connection at all with the lyrics. It's a bit shocking that this situation can arrive.

To me the only sane course of action with this would be for a moderator to delete this song and move the translation to be an English version of, where the title and the video match and so does the text (of which this is a copy). If someone wants to have Monogrenade's "Tes yeux" on this site they should make some effort to provide the lyrics (eg raise a transcription request with a video of that song) instead of copying the transcription of a completely different song.
