Well listen, it is always better to translate from the original instead of loosely translation from a different translation. When I asked you to help out you said you know Faroese, but it seems you're only translating the songs that have some similar variants in different languages. Not that it's wrong (as long as you mention it in the comment - as you did), and I wouldn't mind you uploading the other versions, or even add them as translations. But, if you're not gonna translate straight from Faroese - you're kinda missing the point here. I, too, can translate from Swedish or Danish, but I'd rather have someone who speaks and knows Faroese well enough to best convey the small subtleties of the original text. You see, people might be using these translations to help with their language studies, and so, these type of translations, although almost completely similar, can still leave some of them confused or uncertain about certain things or words. I still think these works of yours are pretty good, but I'm wondering - do you actually know Faroese? and if so, do you incorporate this knowledge in your translation? - by your words, I would assume no, because if you did, you probably wouldn't be calling all of them "loose" or look for other texts to "aid" with your work. It is very important to be honest about the languages you know, and how well exactly it is you know them.

1. I will not edit any of your work, or any other user's work, because that's not how we do stuff around here. If you upload something, you can be rest assured that it won't be tampered with, or at least that's how I believe it should be and try to keep it that way. Even if it was horrible, which is clearly not the case - I think you did a great job here and I wouldn't have translated these 2 sentences you were unsure about any differently - I would still never touch another user's work, neither should anyone else.
2. The internet is actually great for both taking on a new language from scratch, or aiding in the process of learning one. This is especially true when it comes to a language like Faroese where the resources are quite limited.
3. If you called them 'loose' for that you might want to clarify it a bit so people will understand exactly what you meant by it, for as you can see, it could be misleading.
4. You can still do these if you feel competent with the language, and happy with your translations.
I also have some Norwegian requests that I wouldn't mind if you take a look at, but I have to warn you - I get even more critical when it come to Norwegian ;) some of the Lumsk requests make no sense to me at all. There's also this request by another user https://lyricstranslate.com/en/request/pr%C3%B8v-igjen which make very little sense to me. I'm sorry I don't have any Danish for you, I usually try to avoid your weird pronunciation ;)
Well, you can also mention these languages in your profile, if you want. And thanks for your understanding - I just care for these texts I upload and want to see the best possible translations for them ;)
Feel free to go over my translations too, and correct me if need be.

This song has an alternate version in Swedish:

I haven't really looked into it, but there may be several versions of this song, suggesting that it could be of common nordic origin.
The translation might be a little loose. I have noted all the sentences I think I have not translated correctly.
