Little Pinkas was just an elevator boy
Skinny as a pretzel
Little Pinkas loved Her Majesty
He loved her so much.
Her Majesty was actually a dancer
Beautiful like no other
Her Majesty didn't even know that somewhere in the world
there's Little Pinkas.
She never glanced at him
But he didn't mind
He always dreamed of her
Between the floors of the elevator
For she was so beautiful
Her Majesty...
One day, Jack appeared
He was the betting scalper
A pretty dangerous fellow
And with all his might, he struck Her Majesty
right in the mouth...
Her Majesty rolled down the stairs
All the way down
Who came first to her aid?
It was Little Pinkas.
She never glanced at him
But he didn't mind
He didn't know why she was struck
But he rushed to her aid
For in his eyes, she was always Her Majesty.
The doctor looked at her and stated;
It's doomed,
Nothing can be done
Because with a spine like that
She won't be able to move
Nor stand.
All the citizens left her all alone
Well, who's got time for that?
Who's the only one who stayed by her side?
It was Little Pinkas.
She never glanced at him
But he didn't mind
And to his room, his narrow room
Her carefully dragged her
For to him, she was still Her Majesty.
For years, Little Pinkas devotedly served
Her Majesty
All of his savings quickly ran out
Not a penny was left
Anything she asked of him
Be it a bracelet or a pair of earrings
He gave her straight away
And he rolled her wheelchair down the street
That was Little Pinkas.
She never glanced at him
Or told him a kind word
Her hair was turning gray
And her state was all awful
But to him, she was still
Her Majesty.
One day she announced:
"I am cold, Pinkas, let us travel to the warm south."
The road is long and there is no money for this journey
"Push me there!"
He pushed her wheelchair by foot
Never even complained
He has pushed her 1,300 miles by foot
That was Little Pinkas.
She never glanced at him
And he marched for many days
With her wheelchair
From village to village, without a word
For to him, she was still
Her Majesty.
And when they arrived and stopped by the beach
Suddenly she said:
"Kneel down on both knees.
Kneel, Little Pinkas,
For the time has come.
From this day forth, you shall be the Knight of Her Majesty,
For it is time.
I have loved thee,
Come and kiss me -
Come, Little Pinkas."
And he kissed her oh so softly
On her chapped lips
And wiped away the tears
From her wrinkled cheeks
And so Her Majesty
Has passed away...
Next day, something strange
was written in the papers
'Little Pinkas has entered the hotel all of a sudden
and struck a tourist!
Broke his back by beating him with a metal bar
as if he was possessed!'
And everyone said, "What the hell happened
to Little Pinkas?!"
But he never glanced down
Even as he came on trial
And he never revealed that the tourist
was just the same scalper who had struck down
Her Majesty.
And as he lightly climbed
onto the electric chair
He was silent and smiling
And he never explained why or how
For he had remembered Her Majesty's kiss.
