Amor Imortal (tłumaczenie na angielski)

tłumaczenie na angielski

Immortal Love

Such divine love
is everything for me.
It goes beyond infinity,
It will never have an end.
Not even the sunlight and the most
beautiful stars in the sky
can compare to you.
Flying higher, and higher
in the love that takes me somewhere far away.
In this peaceful sky,
a horizon of perfect light.
I will love you forever, baby
Oh baby
I will love you forever.
Immortal love,
I found your smile,
you won me over with your eyes.
Oh baby,
I will love you forever.

just a few little things Regular smile
verse 1, line 1: I think maybe 'such divine love' might work better in this context.
verse 1, line 2: if this line is continuing from the first one then you could translate it without the 'it'... 'is everything for me'
verse 1, line 3: I don't think you need the 'the' before 'infinity'
verse 2, line 2: '...takes me somewhere far away' - you don't need the 'to'
Also I noticed that you didn't translate 'real' in verse 2, line 4 does it not add anything to the meaning?

Thank you! Regular smile

I also have doubts when I am using "the", I was taught it is used to specify something that is or seems to be unique, or something like. Isn't 'infinity' an unique word, so to speak? I think that there is such difficult because in Portuguese we usually use "the" (a/o) too much, so I end up using it in English as well.

As for your question: I prefered not to translat that part, because it is something like "real light", not like a simple light. But, now you have pointed it out, I've added this.

Deciding whether or not to use the definite article in English depends entirely on the context, that's why it's so difficult to understand how it's used...
In this case, the more I think about it, either 'beyond infinity' or 'beyond the infinity' could be used, it's just that 'beyond the infinity' just doesn't sound right to my ears Regular smile also, 'beyond infinity' has a more 'set phrase' feel to it...It's hurting my brain thinking about it so I'll leave you to make the final decision Teeth smile
I don't really understand what you mean by 'a horizon of real light' could 'real' be translated by any of these: perfect/absolute/unequaled?

I see, well we live and learn, so... time will make me better on it Teeth smile

Well, actually I didn't understand either what the singer meant with the phrase "um horizonte de luz real", which literally translated means "a horizon of real light"...

Maybe 'perfect' fits in it, not sure but I think it sounds better in English, doesn't it?

Yeah, I think 'perfect light' sounds better than 'real light' and it doesn't stray too far from the meaning Regular smile
