Father

I look more like you today
That you hide a bit from me
It's fine if you always feel a bit in my eyes with you

A car and so you went away
Maybe you didn't think that I was growing up
As I waited for your kisses
So you could understand
That it's only love

You can find me in your days and you know
(Father)
Find me looking, scream at me, suffering
I know that time will chase us
(Father)
Free, waiting
Alike, running away
Still us
Beyond the clouds
We'll already be tired but I'll hug you

(Father)
I always look more like you, you also see it
Your music is mine
It bonds us

I'll understand it, I'll see your tears
Little father that laughs at me
And that doesn't ask, but it's only love

You can see me in your steps and you know
(Father)
Waiting free, fools on the run, still us
Beyond the clouds, we'll already be tired
But I'll hug you

We're in our glances
(Father)
Waiting free, fools on the run, still us
Beyond the clouds, we'll already be tired
But I'll hug you

Father, father, father, father, father, father
Father, father, father, father, father,
Father

Hello!

I wish to suggest that "Running away as stupids" needs some refining.

Hi, there! I have changed that line a bit. See if it's better now.

Hi!!!

Sorry for the delay in my response. The website was unavailable due to security issues or something like that.

I don't know Italian but I do know enough Spanish to imagine a similarity, specifically, that you can convert an adjective into a noun which describes the noun. I suspect "stupids" is equivalent to stupid people or los estúpidos.

We don't do this often in English. We would say "stupid people" or "stupid ones".

However, the context sounds like an affectionate memory of a father. If this is the case, stupid sounds too harsh, in my opinion.

If you sense softness or affection in the lyrics, "fools on the run" sounds softer to me. It suggests, in this context, whimsy. (Of course, in another context, calling someone a fool is an insult.)

If you sense disgust for her father or intense regret of feeling like an idiot, "stupid people" would be a better fit.

I am a high school graduate. My vocabulary is limited because my education is limited. But until someone contacts you with a better idea, I would use "fools".

Hi, no problem.

I have changed it to 'fools' - I probably didn't take context in consideration when making this translation. It looks more natural now.

Don't worry about limited vocabulary, I could get what you meant. ;)

Thanks, Ellen! I changed it to this. ;)
