Hero-machine

Wersje: #1#2
Barbwire-gob1, so you're called
You don't have the guts and you don't fight back
They want to see tears

Heida! Heida!

Barbwire-gob, at full tilt
Blows year for year, you want to flee
You mount your black steed
Ride homewards to your castle

Will you go with me, may I be with you?
I will be the knight
Will you stand by me, don't leave me alone
And you may be the victim
Will you go with me, may I be with you?
In the castle in candlelight
Will you stand by me, don't leave me alone
This world will be mine

Barbwire-gob - reality
He doesn't like what's spotting him
but he puts up a brave front
Plugs himself into the hero-machine at home

Will you go with me, may I be with you?
I will be the knight
Will you stand by me, don't leave me alone
And you may be the victim
Will you go with me, may I be with you?
In the castle in candlelight
Will you stand by me, don't leave me alone
This world will be mine

The sky is clear, the eyes wide
So he lost space and time
The lance firmly in the knight's hand
And nobody ever knew him
So he spends night after night
brought the dragon's head home from the fight
The maidservants lying at his feet
struggled for his collar
Ever he mounted his black steed
And always he went to war
Thus he ranked highest
The hero-machine devoured him

Will you go with me, may I be with you?
I will be the knight
Will you stand by me, don't leave me alone
And you may be the victim
Will you go with me, may I be with you?
In the castle in candlelight
Will you stand by me, don't leave me alone
This world will be mine
Will you go with me, may I be with you?
I will be the knight
Will you stand by me, don't leave me alone
And you may be the victim
Will you go with me, may I be with you?
In the castle in candlelight
Will you stand by me, don't leave me alone
This world will be mine

I really like the rhymes in this song. =D

Barbwire-pan, so you're called -> Barbwire Lips, so you are called
Fresse is slang for "kisser" or mouth. For example, Americans may say, "I got punched right in the kisser!" Pretty antiquated though.

Hm, the German line says 'Fresse' (Stacheldrahtfresse), shouldn't I preserve this instead of using 'lips'? What would be the most common term in English for 'Fresse'?

Andrew, would you take a look on this one, too? https://lyricstranslate.com/en/gammelfleisch-rotten-meat.html-0 There's one line that's ambiguous in German, marked it with a footnote, do you know a translation to keep this double-meaning perhaps?

I'm not sure what Babwire-Pan means... Not an American saying.

Fressen means to devour, like how an animal eats.
Fresse is kind of like how Germans say, "Maul", like an animal's mouth. In English, any slang for mouth works.

Slangwords for mouth are:

Face-hole
Mug
gob
Cake-hole
Kisser
Puss (Irish, British, Scotish. Sounds weird to an American because "Pussy" is slang for vulva)
Chompers (refers to teeth)

Really none of them make a lot of sense in English lol.

It's just one of these German word+word=newword's. Stacheldraht + Fresse, so barbwire + well, perhaps gob?

Yeah, pretty much. There's a reason why we mock the German language:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Blinkenlights-original.png

" ALLES TURISTEN UND NONTEKNISCHEN LOOKENPEEPERS!
DAS KOMPUTERMASCHINE IST NICHT FÜR DER GEFINGERPOKEN UND MITTENGRABEN! ODERWISE IST EASY TO SCHNAPPEN DER SPRINGENWERK, BLOWENFUSEN UND POPPENCORKEN MIT SPITZENSPARKEN.
IST NICHT FÜR GEWERKEN BEI DUMMKOPFEN. DER RUBBERNECKEN SIGHTSEEREN KEEPEN DAS COTTONPICKEN HÄNDER IN DAS POCKETS MUSS.
ZO RELAXEN UND WATSCHEN DER BLINKENLICHTEN."

:O

You mock it and still you learn it.

EDIT: changed it and added a footnote to explain that it's an insulting name, I hope it's clear now. And no aroundfingern at the knöpfen from the heromachine or be kicked anderswhere!

Funnily enough, nobody says anything about Portugese. Or Welsh. "Gafflwn Dihenydd, o'r fuddugol yn wiriol sydd. Ni fydd neb yn ein Drechu, Falch ydy ni i drochu, Traed o flaen i'r Annwn, mewn y gwybodaeth fe godwn ni."
