Rosemary

You say you stand close to your goal,
I believe her, whom I have fallen for.
You speak of a place in your dream,
which doesn't exist, but you are there.

The air is light, the leaves are blowing,
what you lose still survives.
The night begins, it is already late,
your distant gaze shows me the way.

The day is coming, it is already late,
your empire begins there where you stand.
I still see you go from here,
wherever you go, blooms rosemary.

The day is coming, it is already late,
your empire begins there where you stand.
I still see you go from here,
wherever you go, blooms rosemary.

You speak in a dream, you speak no word,
I follow you, take me away with you.
because this hasn't been my first goal,
I follow her, whom I have fallen for.

The day is coming, it is already late,
your empire begins there where you stand.
I still see you go from here,
wherever you go, blooms rosemary.

The day is coming, it is already late,
your empire begins there where you stand.
I still see you go from here,
wherever you go, blooms rosemary.

The day is coming...

Very good translation imo, and a lot better than the first!
However, what do you think in 1/2 of: I believe the one I am addicted to instead of I believe her, for whom I fell.
(verfallen/verfiel in this context means something like to be addicted)

I feel they both mean essentially the same thing, ie, you fall for someone, and then you are addicted to someone.

may be, but imo fall need an complement like "fall in love"

"Fall for someone" is the equivalent of "fall in love with someone".

While I think the original construction was fine, I have nonetheless edited it to make it appear less like he fell in battle for her once already, which is a distinct possibility with the sort of themes Faun is prone to. :-)

>"Weil nicht das erst mein erstes Ziel,"
(It's "weil", not "wein")
Because this hasn't been my first goal
(It is a strange wording in German, hard to decipher. Must be medieval)
