This song is already on the site - the admins can merge the songs, but please check things like this before adding a new song.

Hello, thanks for your comment. I'm new to LyricsTranslate so I'm not 100% clear on all the rules. However, I did read in the FAQs that I am permitted to add my own unique translation of a song that already appears. I feel that my interpretation of the song's content is significantly different and also grammatically stronger so I wish my work to be credited to my profile. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, you are allowed to add your own translation even if someone else has already translated the song to a specific language. That is totally fine, and all of your translations are visible in your profile. However, there's no need to add the song itself twice. If there's something wrong with lyrics or missing info, you should then either leave a comment under the song itself, leave a message on the forums or contact one of the mods who can edit it. But in any case, you are very welcome to the site :).

OK, thanks for the explanation. Next time I want to add a song that already exists, I'll try to follow this process and see how it turns out. My main concern is that I have seen numerous translations where the source lyrics are incorrect and/or poorly presented and the translations themselves are not very useful (e.g. overly literal - possibly generated By Google Translate). I don't want anything to do with such contributions and would prefer to add my own work. Anyway, I'm really enjoying LyricsTranslate as a source of improving my Finnish!

That is nice to hear :). But yes, if you see lyrics that aren't good/something needs to be corrected, feel free to contact moderators and editors. There are some topics on the forums for such things already, for example. Sometimes it's better to ask for help there or contact someone directly if the original submitter of the lyrics hasn't been active for a long time.
