Perfecto, Aldefina.
There is another stanza, and I don't know why they omit it. It goes like this:
"Bésame,
bésame mucho,
pon en tus besos destellos de loca pasion.
Bésame,
bésame mucho,
que quiero darte en ellos mi fiel corazón. lara, lará laralara .....
Gracias

There are many English translations of this song, so this one had to be a little different, hopefully better too.
It's not a literal translation, but the meaning is the same.
.
Today I did another translation of this song. The singer is Andrea Bocelli.
The are some differences in the original lyrics, so it's slightly different also.
My translation is a bit different even in these parts, that are the same.
.
Enjoy!

Gracias. Rosa.
I have heard many singers performing this song. The are two versions of the lyrics. I translated also the other one - sang by Andrea Bocelli, but the differences are very small. Can you say who sings a version with the stanza you wrote? I have never heard it.
Sometime ago I wrote my own Spanish version of the refrain of this song. If you want to read it, please tell me. But before you decide to do it, let me warn you - this is a very offensive and descriptive one. There are also some “four letter words” in it, so think twice...
Anyway, I sing it only when I’m not sober. ;)
Good translation. I think it's fine to do a translation which is not literal as long as you tell your audience that's what you have done, and you did tell us.
Just one little grammatical suggestion. "As if it.." requires the subjunctive in English just as "como si.." does in Spanish. So I would suggest "As if this night were the final one."
Thank you Gloria for your correction :) . This way you forced me to read a little about the usage of subjunctive and now I will be more careful.
Anyway, I did three English translations of this song - twice Los Panchos (the third and fourth translation) and once Andrea Bocelli (the fourth translation). Here are the links:

I made a kind of joke, trying to show that I was not only able to translate differently than the others, but also my three translations are not the same.
Btw, as you can see, no one has translated correctly the phrase “como si fuera esta noche la última vez” :D .
I wonder what do you think about the other translations. Which is in your opinion the nicest?
You mean translations by other people?
Re. your rather lengthy translation of the Los Panchos version. The situation we find ourselves in is rather messy. On the left is a transcription of the song which doesn't match the lyrics in the video. Then we have your translation of the song which matches the video and the Spanish transcription you give in your author's note, but doesn't match the transcription on the left. What to do? As a general rule I think a translation should be faithful to the transcription it purports to translate. So if I were you I would handle the situation in a different way. First, I would either translate what is on the left or delete the translation entirely. Second, I would add a new transcription of the song (the very transcription you give in your author's note) and the matching video. The system will not let you add a new transcription of Besame Mucho by Los Panchos because it will tell you that that song already exists. But there is a way to get around this problem. It will let you add Los Panchos, Bésame Mucho, which is actually the correct title. I know that it will let you do that because I tried it (of course I didn't go any further than the artist and the title.) Then I would add the translation of that transcription. Tell me what you think.
As to the translation itself, I like it very much.
My intention is to translate the song and not the text that somebody uploaded supposing it was the same as in the song. People who read the translations mostly want to know what are the songs about and our translations should tell them that in the best possible way.
We all upload the lyrics that we find on the net, but as a lot of the lyrics found on the Internet are wrong, we should correct them or look for the other texts without mistakes. I always check the lyrics while listening to the song. When there are only small corrections needed I correct them, otherwise I look for other lyrics. On one occasion I was unable to find the correct one and I corrected it myself (I hope it’s fine now):

As for the idea of posting another lyrics with the title written with accents - this is what I did. I called it “Bésame mucho” and what happened later, because of the action of an unknown moderator, I described under the video.
This way I had to add “The correct version” to the title and a comment.
Not all mods speak Spanish, but that doesn’t stop them from strange actions when they don’t understand why a user did what he did. What's worse, some don't even ask you and don't inform you (a PM) about their actions - as it was in my case.
Still let me ask you once again: Which of my three translations do you like mostly? Is it this one?
Yes, I understand what you are saying about transcriptions from the net. They are often wrong, and I agree that we should correct them before submitting them. Re. moderators and the strange things they do. I am so sorry that happened to you. One or two strange things happened to me also.
I will look over your versions and let you know which I like best. I will probably have time to do this today.
I have now looked over all three pretty closely. The one I like best is the one on this page. I certainly hope no moderator comes along and deletes it.
Thank you for your opinion. This one was the last one. This means I should try to make more translations of each and every song ;) . I'm kidding - usually it's not possible.
I hope the moderators will not touch it. I explained this case straight away to ArenaL5.
Probably you don't know it, but mods are unable to delete the translations. Only admins can do that. Moderators can only unpublish them and that is a reversible process.
I expressed my opinion about posting more than one translation of the same song by one user on the forum (twice) and most moderators see no problem (exept Berliner25). It's the policy of this site that it is allowed, as long as they are really different.
I can only guess that you had the same problem, as some mods a while ago started unpublishing double translations and many users complained about that on the forum. They have done it without analyzing and comparing them and they were not kind enough to inform the users about their actions.
