Comentários do autor:

I guess translating the Latin as well as the Irish is mostly harmless; but I drew the line at "Amen": After all the traslators of the West Saxon Gospels dropped the practice of translating the word "amen" from Latin (and also from Greek "ἀμήν", as Greek was what what most early Christian documents were written in) into (Old) English words or phrases like "Sóðlice", or "Swá hit ys", or "Swá be hit", or "Sy it swa" more than 1000 years ago and simply translated "amen" as "amen"; and their new practise became, over the next few hundred years, the generally accepted standard way of translating "amen".

Many thanks! And I completely agree with your translating Latin but "amen".
