So good
Thank
It looks like Occitan. :D Exciting!
I know Wardruna is rather popular on the Scandanavian front, or at least among American Heathens, and that they sing in Old Norse. But I don't know if they write their own material or if it's from the Eddas.
Ideally, speakers more familiar with the languages could "vet" them for me and pick out the ones they like best. :) Otherwise I'm afraid I'd just end up adding the ones that I thought sounded pretty. ;)
Regarding historic pagan songs (or at least texts), how about some spell?

And in our Old Norse category we should also have some pagan content: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/old-norse-viking-chants-lyrics.html
Pagan poetry By Bjork is amazing
it should of been on the list
You're more than welcome to include it on your own collection. The reason I didn't include it is because the only really pagan thing I notice about it is the two words "pagan poetry."
All of the other songs I've included either directly refer to pagan deities, pagan holidays, the practice of magic in a pagan context, or are by openly Pagan artists who have publicly discussed the influence of Pagan themes in their music.
Oh i see lol! I understand. It's just that i saw the words "Pagan" and i thought it was all related to things with songs haha. sorry
I've included the songs/artists here into this more general collection: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/collection/hindu-and-pagan-songs
Thank you!
I understand that the lyrics to "The Witches' Reel" (the one in Scots) are taken from a witchcraft trial circa 1500s. The one in Irish is also quite old, I believe circa 1200s, although I need to double check (and add footnotes ;) ).
I would very much like to add more songs that are in other languages, and I hope to soon. I know of Faun and was hoping to add one or two of their songs. Also I believe there are some Scandanavian bands that would be great to include.
I'm absolutely open to suggestions. :)
