Hello everybody. I'm not that new anymore, having contributed quite a big deal already, but I wish to make anyway a brief presentation about myself among other things. Actually, I'm not that new at all because I had an account before. I decided to quit because of mainly two issues. On one hand I urgently needed some time and I realized that contributing to this site ate too much of my time. I was quite hooked to all that this site allowed me to do, share and experience. On the other hand there was some sort of atmosphere that made my sick in here. But it was also in some extent my own fault, by not communicating enough and letting my translation to be overshadowed with translations that I did not agree with. But even so I want to reassure you: if I lay some comments about anyone's translation it's not for trying to shoot them down for revenge, quite the opposite. But I will be more active.

I'll quite much continue on the same old French-Finnish axis. I feel and felt quite lonely with it. But the rarity of people knowing both languages is a reality, and it must be admitted and I have to live with it.
I started to learn French as a kid in Belgium where I started to go to school. And I was intensively in touch with the language until the end of high school. After that period, English became a more usual language to me, as I had one year of business lessons tough by American professors that were native English speakers. I have continued to read French-written novels and detective books, listen to French-sang music (which I much like), watch TV news in French and look for exchange students coming from the francophonie and from other regions of the globe as well. Well, if I'm not mistaken, I never made any real description of myself since I'm not very fascinated with telling about myself all around the place. But it's done now.
Good to know that I'm not the only LT addict:P

Re-bienvenue, benevoliste ;) Well, in light of all the stuff you translated from Finnish to French or the opposite, you personally incarnate one of the greatest known resources for the speakers/learners of those two languages, an honor I could never even aspire to. I think you have much to be proud of. I also lost sight of the website because I started feeling myself useless, but I still enjoy interacting with those like you that I've known from the very start, so I'm immensely glad that you've decided to return.

@maëlstrom: the fact that I wanted to quit was in no way related to a discussion we had recently before I made my decision. With this, I just want to make things clearer and leave less room to doubts, to communicate better what's up. Is it alright?
