The title of this song is a typical Spanish expression, that it’s hard to translate to any other language. I needed 3 month to finally decide what would be the best.
.
Let me explain:
.
A flor de piel is something that is vivid, that is always with you;
te llevo a flor de piel = I always remember you (and the feelings towards you).
.
What I wrote now it’s in fact the phrase used by Shakespeare's Othello - “to wear my heart upon my sleeve”, that seems to have the same meaning.
.
Before I used “Under my skin” - somehow copied from the famous song of Frank Sinatra. I think, that the idea of both of these expressions is the same. “On my skin” or “On the surface of my skin” would be closer to the literal meaning.
.
At the beginning the title was “A flush on my skin” - the idea was more or less the same, because it was about showing the emotions, but it was too far from the original meaning.
1. | Me olvidé de vivir |
2. | Je n'ai pas changé |
3. | Abrázame |
