I found a really good translation of a Chinese song and uploaded it to the site.
What I can't find is the meaning of the title, he doesn't actually use the words in the song (I checked) and the source translation didn't specify either.
The song is called 悟空 (Wu Kong) by Khalil Fong and I believe it is in Cantonese. But the artist is American, so I'm not really sure, that doesn't narrow it down. It doesn't appear to be mandarin, since I had a hard time finding a translation. So I'm asking for help.
谢谢!
Hello, Ayano! It's actually Mandarin-悟空 (Wu Kong), aka 孫悟空 (Sun Wu Kong) is the Monkey King, who is a prominent character in the novel Journey to the West.
Hope this helps!

No wonder it wouldn't translate! Thank you!
:) I did some research and the artist is of Hong Kong decent but is American so that's why I assumed Cantonese. Either way, absolutely amazing song and beautiful language.
I will just add a footnote and leave the title as is.
It can be sort of "translated" into Cantonese, the romanization (Pinyin/Jyutping) just turns out different (Syun Ng Hung in jyutping)
But the song itself is in Mandarin, though?
Yes, it is. However, since Cantonese and Mandarin tend to use the same character systems, it's easy to confuse the two. This is why I think we need to add Cantonese as a separate language here on LT, as it's more than confusing for translators to find that a song that is actually in Cantonese is actually in Mandarin, or vice-versa
I agree because Cantonese and Mandarin are actually really different and two separate languages. Not to mention, Cantonese people get really upset if you call their language Mandarin.
