Над гором Романијом

Док над гором Романијом са истока руди зора
Један српски јунак рањен испод витког лежи бора.
Над јунаком рањенијем, бор склопио своје гране
А под њиме земљу црну, крв из љуте кваси ране.
Зна да га смрт стравична вреба оком из прикрајка,
И да живог више никад видети га неће мајка.
Орао се једна на врх бора тога спусти
А витез му тихим гласом овако рече и изусти:
Ај полети сури орле ка Палама и Соколцу и понеси вест тужну мојој мајци и оцу.
Реци да сам остао тамо где се љута бије битка, тамо где се крвљу и сузама брани Република Српска

Above Romanija Mountain

As the rosy-fingered dawn rose up the steep of Romanija Mountain,
One Serbian hero lay himself down under a slender pine tree.
The pine tree folded its branches over the wounded hero,
While the blood from his deep wounds drenched the black soil beneath him.
He knew that death was peering thought its grim eye at him,
And that his mother would never see him alive again.
One eagle perched on the crown of that pine tree,
And in a soft voice the knight thus said to him and uttered:
"Ay, golden eagle, fly toward Pale and Sokolac, and convey the sad tidings to my mother and father.
Tell them that I stay forever to rest there where a fierce battle is fought, there where the Republic of Srpska is defended with blood and tears."
