Turn It Up

Time is passing, but I'm in no hurry
I spend my days at the foot of night
If anyone ever suddenly shuts off your sound,
Look them in the eye and turn it up

Turn it up, turn it up
Turn it up, let your sound ring
Turn it up, turn it up
Turn it up, and there'll be no one around (x2)

I'm taking a turn, this town is unfamiliar
No one loves, no one's expecting anything
Here they won't condemn or remember
But I, I, I am no local now
But I, I, I am on my own today
But I, I, I await no counsel

I'm riding my own wave, my own wave
Time is passing, but I'm in no hurry
I spend my days at the foot of night
If anyone ever suddenly shuts off your sound,
Look them in the eye and turn it up

Turn it up, turn it up
Turn it up, let your sound ring
Turn it up, turn it up
Turn it up, and there'll be no one around (x2)

I'm staying true to myself
I can be rude sometimes,
But I'm not afraid of keeping quiet
Of staying invisible and unneeded
But I, I, I am no local now
But I, I, I am on my own today
But I, I, I await no counsel

I'm riding my own wave, my own wave
Time is passing, but I'm in no hurry
I spend my days at the foot of night
If anyone ever suddenly shuts off your sound,
Look them in the eye and turn it up

Turn it up, turn it up
Turn it up, let your sound ring
Turn it up, turn it up
Turn it up, and there'll be no one around (x2)

Ay-ay! Turn yours up!
Turn up your sound!
Ay-ay! Turn yours up!
Turn up your sound!

I'm burning up inside, in my honest words, a force is born
It won't help me, all people are unbearable
I'm going to the light, I always understand what I need
I don't hear all those people who pull me to turn back

Valdimar, I'll specify one phrase. "И пульс заполнит звук" The subject in here is "the sound" Literary, it's "The sound will fill your pulse". Your rendition though may differ, of course. :)

You'll also note that in the verses, they have written out "а я, я, я" as opposed to "ай-йа-я"

Agree. On this video Max evidently sings "Пусть заполнит звук". I'll correct that. The problem is that "заполнять" is a transitive verb, it needs an object. "Let the sound fill....????" Anyway, bad Russian, what can I do? But he does sing that. ;(

Yeah haha, I was confused too, I think that's why almost every other rendition of the lyrics has either what you wrote or "пусть запомнят"

At least you got his idea right. I'd say "Let the sound ring/rule" though. But that's a matter of opinion. Anyway, thank you for the good translation. :)

Um, excuse me, but they aren't duplicates. You'll also note that there are entirely separate music videos for both. If you'd taken the time to listen or read the translations, you'd note that there's an entire verse in the original that isn't sung in the version featuring L'One, and the rap by L'One is absent in the original.
