Flor, I think you might be interested. This artist Glukoza was presented to the audience as a cartoon character in this video which was her first big hit. In other videos, she also featured as a cartoon girl with a Doberman dog. For about a year no one knew her real name or the way she looked. A very successful publicity stunt.

This one looks ugly now but it was made through a computer. The song is called I'm Blue (Da Ba Dee Da Ba Da) but I'm not sure if that counts as animated though.
