tul=fool, unless he means tule (sounds more like he's saying tul-en than tule-n to me though). Either way, tule doesn't mean speaker either (as far as I know).
Vågar (m) means bays or inlets.
Waves would be våger (f). It seemed to be masculine in Old Norse though? Maybe the dialect retained that, or use the feminine -ar in plural like some words do (like ei øy, øyar). I do find Wojar/Wojane in Glossemata Tellemarchica from 1698. And waves seems to fit better than bays. So I suppose it's not an error.
