Hi, I've recently translated a hebrew song to russian. I was able to translate all the lyrics but the last line, which is the song's title as well. I'm not very good at hebrew, I just study it, so I ask your help here.
The song is "כל החלומות תפוסים" by Dudi Bar David:
The problem is in Tfusim. I serched in dictionaries and found that Tafus can mean:
caught ; trapped ; occupied, taken (seat) ; busy, engaged (phone number) ; sprained (muscle) ; busy, occupied (person) ; caught up, engaged ; (colloquial) spoken for
I also found explanation of the word in hebrew:
2.תקוע, קשה לשחרר אותו, מוגבל בתנועה. "השריר תפוס."
3.נמצא בשימוש, אינו פנוי. "הקו תפוס."
4.נמצא בקשר זוגימילים נרדפות - לָפוּת, אָחוּז
After deliberate translation of the lyrics and watching the video I still can't catch the meaning of Kol Hacholomot Kfusim. All the dreams are occupied, busy, taken, finished? Nothing makes sense to me, can't understand what happend to the dreams.
If someone could read the lyrics and watch the video, would you please shed some light on the meaning of that line in the CONTEXT of the song. I would really appreciate that.
If you speak russian, you can write in russian as well.
