Amore

High waves, loud people
We are diving for gold, we are drowning in overtures
With a devilish skill the sea deceitfully
Is yelling in a rustle at actualities in response
We are not the only ones who are sitting here by the shore in such way
Here it is for you my Love Story, here it is for you my longing
Here my clothes, here my keys...
Just, just keep silent, just keep silent.

Refrain: Mari Kraymbreri
You're leaving to not to sleep1. You're leaving, alright, it's okay.
AMORE2, the sea3 remembers everything by heart.
I'm going to forget how to kiss and someday I'll get back4
To tell the sea: sea, I am to stay...
You're leaving to not to sleep. You're leaving, alright, it's okay.
AMORE, the sea remembers everything by heart.
I'm gonna forget how to kiss and someday I'll get back
To tell the sea: sea, I am to stay...

Stanza 2: Mari Kraymbreri
Does your girlfriend know whom she loves
How many more holidays she's gonna celebrate with you
How many more broken hearts are on this shore
How many people are there, who love each other, but don't care
I'm gonna take a smoke break in the world of egoists and silly women
I'm gonna take a tourist trip over there for a couple of weeks
Then I'll get back over here to the rushing waves
To throw obscenities
With an extinguished cigarette into the wind

Refrain: Mari Kraymbreri
You're leaving to not to sleep. You're leaving, alright, it's okay.
AMORE, the sea remembers everything by heart.
I'm gonna forget how to kiss and someday I'll get back
To tell the sea: sea, I am to stay..
You're leaving to not to sleep. You're leaving, alright, it's okay.
AMORE, the sea remembers everything by heart.
I'm gonna forget how to kiss and someday I'll get back
To tell the sea: sea, I am to stay...

  • 1. This also may mean not to have sex.
  • 2. Italian: love, my love, my beloved one.
  • 3. Word "sea" in russian sounds just like the italian "amore" but without the first vowel
  • 4. Maybe would be better to put it like this: When I forget how to kiss, then someday I'll get back.

It is A море - Amore doesn't make sense to me, but it could be intentional- thank you both

Amore. https://www.gl5.ru/m/mari-kraimbreri/mari-kraimbreri-amore.html

With the link you posted, I am confused why this song is called Amore if she never even says "amore" in her song.

I believe it's a pun, a play on words, which sound similar in the song but have different meanings in Russian and Italian. "Amore" can mean "love" or "my beloved one" in italian and "but sea" in Russian. Actually in the song she is standing by the sea shore, trying to forget her ex-lover and singing "But sea, sea remembers everything...", but she can't forget him and in her mind she is adressing to him: "My love, sea remembers everything..." Anyway, it's the official title of the song.

Good explanation. Also she may suffer, like I do, typing English P as Russian R. So MOPE is sea in Russian letters. Then she types: and sea = A MOPE and realizes it gives her AMORE. The rest is history.  ;)

Lots of possibilities can be I guess. By the way the submitter of the lyrics is an italian, so it's possible he(she) hears the words this way. They may be put wrong in the text, but juging by the song title, the italian "amore" is most likely implied here. :)
