כמו בקצב של התוף,
צליל חליל שאין לו קץ,
כל עונה לקראת הסוף,
תבואה תניב ופרי העץ.
במימי נהר צלולים,
הדגים משתכשכים.
תירס בשדה יבשיל,
ונקצור אותו בגיל.
ונשלח תפילה לאל,
את האש לא לכבות.
לרוחות שוב נתפלל,
שירעיפו רק ברכות.
השנים והעונות,
בקביעות הן מגיעות,
את חיינו הן שוטפות...
במקצב התוף חולפות.

As the beating drum,
As the endless sounds of the flute,
Every season, toward its end,
Shall bring grains and fruits.
In the clear waters of the river,
The fish all swim.
The corn shall ripen in the field,
And we shall reap it joyously.
And we shall send a prayer for the Lord,
Not to put our fires out.
Unto the winds again shall we pray,
To shower blessings upon us.
All the years and the seasons,
Come consistently,
Washing over our lives...
Passing by as the steady beating drum.
