The Heavens On My Palms

Heart is beating between the poles
We are overcoming the distance between us
Just embracing
The heavens.

Now you know it.
Now you know it.
You know it, you know it.

The heavens on my palms.
The heavens on my palms.
The havens on my palms,
On my palms.
Let's dance together!

Let's dance together!

Let's dance together!

Heart is beating between the poles
The distance between us
Can be overcome with our thoughts -
You know it (You know it).

Now you know it.
Now you know it.
You know it, you know it.

The heavens on my palms.
The heavens on my palms.
The havens on my palms,
On my palms.
Let's dance together!

Let's dance together!

Between the poles,
The distance between us.
Just embracing
The heavens.

Now you know it (Heavens on my palms).
Now you know it (Heavens on my palms).
Now you know it (Heavens on my palms).
You know it (Heavens on my palms), You know it.

The heavens on my palms.
The heavens on my palms.
The havens on my palms,
On my palms.
Let's dance together!

Heart is beating between the poles
The distance between us
One can walk through mentally -
You know

Who is walking mentally?

BlackSea4everBlackSea4ever    Duminică, 04/07/2021 - 01:03

Too harsh, M… you know my motto: don’t give me problems - give me solutions…
The distance between us / One can walk through mentally —
Reasoning (reflection) should overcome the distance between us.

IgeethecatIgeethecat    Duminică, 04/07/2021 - 01:35

Yah, right between poles

SomeONE (not mentioned)
Та же конструкция, что и "kann man/ man kann" в немецком.

Heaven in the palms => тут я думаю, не совсем heaven, сколько sky in the palms of our hands.

Heart is beating between the poles
The distance between us
One can walk through mentally -
=>

Our hearts are beating between the globe’s poles
The distance between us
Can be bridged with our thoughts/ can be overcome/tied over/surmounted with our mental connection

IremiaIremia
   Duminică, 04/07/2021 - 06:20

Так и будет - palms of the(my, your, our, his, her) hands.

Alexander LaskavtsevAlexander Laskavtsev
   Duminică, 04/07/2021 - 06:27

BlackSea4everBlackSea4ever    Duminică, 04/07/2021 - 08:38

Palms was just fine and is quite commonly used as the equivalent of ладони. To avoid what Irula read, you could have used: the heavens (or skies) in my palms.

A bit of business, Alex.

Нужно написать Between the poles.

In my palm and On my palm. I'm sweating in my palms - У меня руки потеют. As simple as that. Cheers. :)

   Marţi, 06/07/2021 - 08:06

sandringsandring    Marţi, 06/07/2021 - 09:53

IremiaIremia
   Marţi, 06/07/2021 - 16:49

sandringsandring    Marţi, 06/07/2021 - 17:03

PinchusPinchus    Duminică, 04/07/2021 - 04:25

Alexander LaskavtsevAlexander Laskavtsev
   Duminică, 04/07/2021 - 06:36

Then I will call you just D (like Igor does). Just in order not to forget ;)
And as I said earlier, I am among those who are in strong opposition to the diversity of names. I am for standardisation. But that is just my own opinion and modern world is against me :)

BlackSea4everBlackSea4ever    Luni, 05/07/2021 - 03:54

D is just fine. It took a while and a bit of threat to get Igor to use just One D…
I am with you - I still struggle with all the names in Russian that start with G not H… lol.

Alexander LaskavtsevAlexander Laskavtsev
   Luni, 05/07/2021 - 03:57

For example? I don't know ANY Russian names, starting with G!... :D
Though I know Николай - it starts with H :D

Alexander LaskavtsevAlexander Laskavtsev
   Luni, 05/07/2021 - 04:10

Russians traditionally transcribe H like Г when it is about names: Harold - Гарольд; Henry - Генри etc.
Ukrainians like the letter Г even more: in ukrainian this letter sounds closer to English H than to russian Г.
So we have now this modern trend in transcription:
(Sherlock Holmes)
(Lifehack)
(Hacker)
etc

Alexander LaskavtsevAlexander Laskavtsev
   Luni, 05/07/2021 - 06:44

IgeethecatIgeethecat    Luni, 05/07/2021 - 11:00

:D (I'm afraid to imagine with which names you force your husband to call you....)  o:)

BlackSea4everBlackSea4ever    Marţi, 06/07/2021 - 02:39

I don’t force my husband to do or say anything for 35 years. We also don’t have pet names. His best trait is the ability to ignore nagging, whining, and complaining - another advice to Bella what to ask for in a companion and what to do as little as possible herself. 😇
I regret immensely not knowing he’s afraid of water - next time, it’s the first question I’d ask. Lol.

BlackSea4everBlackSea4ever    Marţi, 06/07/2021 - 02:57

We evolved - no threats. If threats worked, he wouldn’t be in politics and I wouldn’t have had a mental breakdown. Kidding. You know what they say: a joke is only part a joke - the rest is the truth.

The next I am saying with a poker face 😐
I have been learning English since I was 4 y.o. (hmm... that was pretty long ago...). And hope I wasn't the worst student.
But still... When you live in a non-English speaking environment, and more: when your mother tongue's alphabet contains the letter "i" which sounds more like English "ee", then you will read "Diana" as {DeeAnaa} unintentionally. And never like {Daiyeanna}. I still force myself to switch these "pronunciation modes" depending on the language I speak ;)
It's all about habits, nothing more.

BlackSea4everBlackSea4ever    Marţi, 06/07/2021 - 02:52

Indubitably. Let’s agree on using D. Igor used Di, and I read it as it is = die not dee… when he switched to double-d, I nagged, whined, complained, and threatened. Lol.

A very interesting supposition but no, I doubt anyone bothers to thing anything regarding origins of non-anglicised names. And well, you know what “brat” means and how it’s pronounced 😉
