The word has no _flavor_ *NOR* idea
"Statua sommersa": io userei "undersea" invece di "drown" (drown, intanto, è l'infinito del verbo, al limite potrebbe essere "drowned"); il senso di questo verso è che il posto della statua è sotto il mare, e non che la statua sia stata sommersa dall'acqua. "Statua sottomarina" non suonava bene, quindi hanno usato "sommersa"
"seduti, sdraiati, impacciati": se scrivi "sitting, laying down, embarassed" sembra che questi si riferiscano alla statua del verso immediatamente precedente, invece che a noi, protagonisti della canzone (non è possibile declinarli alla seconda persona plurale). Forse "as we sit down and lay down, embarassed"?
"deserto lontano miraggio": lascerei "deserto" tradotto letteralmente come "desert" invece che come "empty", dato il riferimento alla sabbia nel verso successivo; quindi, "distant desert mirage" mi suona bene :)
