Under the Blue Moon

Under the blue moon, in Saint-Tropez, on a summer's night
Under the blue moon, you gave me a long kiss.
Dance with me, I want it
Dance with me, us as lovers

Under the blue moon, all of Saint-Tropez seems to be enchanted.
And so begins the game where both our hearts celebrate their joy
Dance with me until the day
Dance with me, my love.

Under the blue moon, my beating heart surrenders to you
We're happy, all's well, love has us
Dance with me until the day
Dance with me, my love, my love, my love.

Your understanding of French seems to be getting better with each translation, Daniel. Congrats.

jusqu'au jour -> that's more like "until dawn" (until day breaks)

nous sommes bien -> rather "we feel good" ("all is well" would be "tout va bien")

l'amour nous tient -> that's something like "we're hooked", but in a less familiar register. I don't know what would render that best in English. "love has us in its spell" or something like that, but it's a bit verbose.

Your suggestions helped this translation tremendously. In the sections you refer to, I had a difficult time trying to polish the lines but at least now I have a better understanding of the lyricist's intention.

Merci!
