I will not come back

When you are far away from me
When you want me to be with you
You won’t find not a single memory of myself
Or have anymore loves with me

I swear that i won’t come back
Even if this tears apart my life
If i have ever madly loved you
You are now dismissed from my heart

I won’t come back
I swear by God who is watching me
I tell you crying of fury
I won’t come back...

I won’t stop
Until i see that my cry has formed
A ? of hopeless oblivion
Where i will sink your memory...

We were clouds that the wind has drifted apart
We were stones that always collided
Waterdrops that the earth has dried up
Drunkennesses that haven’t finished.

I go in the train of absence
My ticket doesn’t have a retun
What you have from me
I give it to you, but i
Give you back your kisses

I won’t come back
I swear by God who is watching me
I tell you crying of fury
I won’t come back...

I won’t stop
Until i see that my cry has formed
A ? of hopeless oblivion
Where i will sink your memory...

This is a good translation of a poignant song. There is a mistake in the lyrics, however. "Lo que tengas de mi te lo doy, pero you NO te vuelvo tus besos." Doesn't that make more sense? My suggestion is that "arrollo" should be translated into English as "arroyo," meaning ravine, a washed-out place. Also, "te lo digo llorando de rabia" is better translated with "rage" than "fury," but fury is close enough. "Cuando lejos te encuentre de mi," is better translated literally as "When you find yourself far from me." Altogether, a fine translation. Oh, Pedro Infante. Haz que nuestra vida sea otra vez lo que antes fue!
