From the Italian Wikipedia:
The authors of the song, which is part of the album L'italiano, are the same Toto Cutugno and Cristiano "Popi" Minellono.
The song, the composition dates back to November 1981, was initially meant to Adriano Celentano.

Na, das ist ja "lustig"!
Interessant, dass die beiden Einträge in der Liste seiner Songs noch nicht mal direkt untereinander stehen!
Muss daran liegen, dass für das Auslassungszeichen "L'..." zwei unterschiedliche "diacritical signs" verwandt wurden... :bigsmile:
Wie auch immer:
In solchen Fällen habe ich mich bisher immer mit einer "pm" an "lt" gewandt,
mit der Bitte um Zusammenführung.
Was auch immer prompt erledigt wurde.
In diesem Fall ist allerdings einiges an "Fleißarbeit" angesagt...

Aww, I didn't know the original name of the song is L'italiano. I just wrote Lasciatemi Cantare on the search button, and it seemed it has just one translation, French.
First off all: this song belongs to Toto Cutugno and Never to Andriano Celentano.
And, please, correct the title of this song on: L'italiano.
