I have translated the Galician-Portuguese song to both English and Portuguese languages; however, its refrain is really hard to translate since there's no equivalent of it in English.
For example:
Galician-Portuguese:
Gran dereit' é que mal venna ao que ten en desden
os feitos da Groriosa con que nos faz tanto ben.
(Modern) Portuguese:
É bem justo que o mal vira-se contra aquele que tem desprezo pelos
feitos da Gloriosa, que nos faz tanto bem.
English:
It is really fair that the evil prevails among those who have contempt for
the acts of the Virgin, who makes us feel good.
If you speak English and also Portuguese, Galician or even Spanish, you'll notice that the English one isn't perfect.
Is there any other better translation for its refrain? I'd be grateful if you'd help me.
I guess I'm posting this on the right forum. If not, I'm sorry.
