I'm not fluent, not even close, but I still think that you should be more attentive when translating songs, for the sake of people who want to understand them and don't know even a little of the language. Otherwise there's no point to this in my opinion.

I know that some songs will only be translated in a few years (if ever) if you just leave a request. But you could for example try to translate by/for yourself, and then send a pm to a native Japanese user on the site for them to review your translation (since I haven't really seen anyone responding to proofreading requests).
