I used to know songs from this movie by heart as a teen. Never knew it was Marina who sang for A.S - she was not much on the air and passed by almost unnoticed.
Where does your Russian come from, Kevin? Is it family rooted or acquired? I hope it's not too private a question to put in the comments :D But your choice of Russian songs to translate - including ethno-folk which may sound specific even to a Russian ear - amazes me sometimes to the point that I wonder if there's a cultural background for that or is it just a matter of incidental resonance, or linguistic exercise or whatever.
