Prototype

I set off under cover of night
to get what I want
I serve only science
Soon everything will fit together

From her, the eyes
from her, the hair
from her, the legs
and I realize
such beauty is spread far
but soon I put it all together

Sparks fly
the weld glows
I'll build myself a prototype
I am the architect of my own fortune
I'll build myself a prototype
I put you together piece by piece
only the most beautiful parts of everyone
I am the architect of my own fortune
and you are my pride and joy
my prototype

Face and body already perfect
donated by noble suffering
but missing the spirit that awakens you
that completes my piece of art

From her, loyalty
from her, courage
from her, soul
not enough
so much virtue, spread so far
but soon I put it all together

(2x)
Sparks fly
the weld glows
I'll build myself a prototype
I am the architect of my own fortune
I'll build myself a prototype
I put you together piece by piece
only the most beautiful parts of everyone
I am the architect of my own fortune
and you are my pride and joy
my prototype

While I do believe that this translation is better than the former, there are a couple of mistakes.

"Von jeder nur das schönste Teil" means "each part will be only the most beautiful ones".

For "Ich bin meines Glückes Schmied", you translated it "I am the architect of my own fortune" and the other translator with "I am my own happiness".

It translates literally to "I am my happiness smith." (or: the smith of my own happiness). Personally, I like the literal translation the most, "I am the smith of my own happiness". But "I am my own happiness" sounds better and makes more sense than your translation, in my opinion.
