Serenata immortale

La flamma fortuna
La terra murmure
Un coro, serenata
Cantara mysterie

Dono, dono, dono gratia
Dono, dono adore
Dono, dono infinatia
Dono, dono adore

La flamma riposa
La ombra dispare
La voce immortale
La voce murmure

Dono, dono, dono gratia
Dono, dono adore
Dono, dono infinatia
Dono, dono adore

Dono, dono, dono gratia
Dono, dono adore
Dono, dono infinatia
Dono, dono adore

Перевод

Immortal serenade

The flame of fate
The earth whispers
A chorale, serenade
Singing a mystery

Gift, gift, gift of grace
Gift, gift to be worshiped
Gift, infinite gift
Gift, gift to be worshiped

The flame rests
The shadow disappears
The immortal voice
The voice whispers

Gift, gift, gift of grace
Gift, gift to be worshiped
Gift, infinite gift
Gift, gift to be worshiped

Gift, gift, gift of grace
Gift, gift to be worshiped
Gift, infinite gift
Gift, gift to be worshiped

These lyrics appear on several websites with a number of differences. I found:
La flama fortuna
Dono, dono, dono gracia
La flama riposa
La dolce immortale
The question of the identity of this laguage has been raised here and there, for instance:
https://www.textkit.com/greek-latin-forum/viewtopic.php?t=62335
On the whole it appears to be a fake language, mainly based on Romance vocabulary, especially Italian; but "infinatia" is unconceivable in any Romance language or dialect.
It is no use trying to translate such gibberish... especially in Latin!

The translation was submitted in 2016 when:
- The language was not known yet
- When it was decided to label it as a 'constructed language'

Quote:

Neither songs nor translations are required to be in languages currently spoken; we have lyrics and/or translations in constructed languages (like Esperanto, Klingon and Quenya), different dialects (Central German dialects, Turkish dialects, Torlakian dialect...) and extinct (like Latin and Galician-Portuguese).

In my opinion, "constructed language" implies that there is some meaning, not just noise with your mouth.
Now, the text may stay as it is. But don't ask for tyranslations. Else, you could ask for translating "la la la lon-lère la la la lon-la" (from French Folk-lore).

I know what a constructed language is, the song can't be labeled as 'Other' because that category is for songs in languages / dialects that don't have their own category. There is no other label it would fit under (Unknown wouldn't either because it implies it is a language/dialect but can't be verified by the user).

If anything, the request is for a potential Latin translation to be made based on what translations there are already. If you're not interested in translating it, then I suggest you move along. Thank you.

As for the modifications to the lyrics you can find on the internet, I decided to transcribe them differently because they look very anglicized and I can probably transcribe them better than the native English who clearly made the first transcription:
- "flama"/"flamma": English natives can hardly distinguish double letters, so the transcription "flama" is very English-friendly, but we both know that the correct spelling of that word both in Latin and Old Italian is "flamma".
- "gracia"/"gratia": the sound here pronounced is clearly "z", and since the correct Latin script is "gratia" and seeing how the word is supposed to rhyme with "infinatia", I decided to go with "gratia", while "gracia" looks again like a very English interpretation.
- "riposa": what about it?
- "dolce"/"voce": honestly, I can hear no "L" here, and I carefully listened to it over and over again. Besides that, the correlation between the two lines "la dolce immortale/la voce murmure" doesn't look very logical to me.
