Marka-, Markale,
J'ai entendu la plainte de mes enfants!
J'ai perdu les yeux de mes enfants!
J'ai entendu la plainte de mes enfants!
NOTE
As explained in the comment, the timestamped parts are probably purposeful manglings of Croatian texts, with the intent to give an effect of "bombed language": something so devastated it's not even recognizable, like a bombed place. This is why I classified the song as Croatian and French (chorus is in French). The originals are probably the below.
First part:
Već trideseti sat kako smo
Sa svih strana zasuti granatama.
Jedna upravo ovog časa
Prolijeće iznad moje pjesme.
Trave će nas moliti
Da ih gazimo svojom mladošću.
Iznad moje pjesme
Gok historija tragala?
Second part:
Trave će nas moliti
Da ih gazimo svojom mladošću.
Iznad moje pjesme
Njeznim sonetima
Gok historija tragala?
Me što je ti radio?
Za što tebe volim? Oh!
Za što tebe volim? Oh!

[0:45-1:17]
Già treci re fiam qua
Da ogni parte tice crànapa
Vuna propió morà
Talanso ral amà pesīa
L'ebore ge percaurà
Cultaimu nla stra gevontà.
Surtu ma poseua,
Cu la storia cernago?
Vasa, Vasa Miskin,
Of my children I have lost the eyes!
Marka-, Markale,
Of my children I have heard the cries!
Aaah… gammeh!
[1:48-2:20]
L'ebora ci percaurà
Caltaimu nla stra gevontà.
E surtu ma podeseua,
E can taronri sominetite,
Cu la storia cernalo?
Causcai fatto tiau demai?
Curchi gin ano? Oh!
Curche ti amo? Oh!
Vasa, Vasa Miskin,
Of my children I have lost the eyes!
Marka-, Markale,
Of my children I have heard the cries!
Vasa, Vasa Miskin,
Of my children I have lost the eyes!
Marka-, Markale,
Of my children I have heard the cries!
Of my children I have lost the eyes!
Of my children I have heard the cries!
NOTE
I rendered the "bombed Croatian" into "bombed Italian" and the French into English. Now of course I must give the Italian originals. Since they're pretty literal translations of the Croatian originals, they fit pretty well sided with those. The other translation gives you everything in non-bombed English. Extra sentence for lineup.
First part:
Già da tredici ore siamo qua,
Da ogni parte piovono granate.
Una proprio ora
Sta volando sopra la mia poesia.
L'erba ci pregherà
Che la calpestiamo nella nostra gioventù.
Sopra la mia poesia,
La storia chi ha cercato?
Second part:
L'erba ci pregherà
Che la calpestiamo nella nostra gioventù.
Sopra la mia poesia,
Con teneri sonetti,
La storia chi ha cercato?
Cos'hai fatto di me?
Perché ti amo? Oh!
Perché ti amo? Oh!

The lyrics are pretty much these, what's doubtful is whether or not the verses are in "bombed Croatian", i.e. Croatian mangled to the point of being unrecognizable to create in the language the effect that bombings have on a country, and whether the originals I propose below are correct.
The first four lines of verse 1 appear to come from the beginning of Granata s Mrkovića, by Izet Sarajić:
Već trideseti sat | Already thirty hours
kako smo sa svih strana | We have been from all sides
zasuti granatama. | Showered with grenades.
Jedna upravo ovog časa | One precisely at this moment
prolijeće | Is flying
iznad moje pjesme. | Over my poem.
Ova je s Mrkovića | This one is from Mrkoviće
gdje sam prije rata | Where before the war
za onom koju volim | With the one I love
brao margarete. | I plucked daisies.
Ll. 5-6 of verse 1, as well as ll. 1-2 of verse 2, may come from l. 1 of Trave, and l. 4 of verse 3 may be "njeznim sonetima", again in Trave:
Trave će nas moliti da ih gazimo svojom mladošću. | The grasses will ask us that we trample them in our youth.
Trave će nas moliti da ih darujemo njeznim sonetima. | The grasses will ask us that we gift them with soft sonnets.
Mi ćemo ih gaziti zakasnjeli i gorki i pjevat ćemo im | We will trample them late and bitter, and will sing to them
o nepovratnim odlascima, o uskraćenim uspomenama | About irreversible departures, about denied memories
i molit ćemo trave da nam oproste za mnoge rijeci, | And we will ask the grass to forgive us for many words,
za mnoge gorke rijeci koje nećemo znati presutjeti. | For many bitter words that we will not know how to keep silent.
Jon mud dok pjeniska / Jut motno pjed ijeniska
This line is still a bit of a mystery. I rather tentatively propose a reuse of «iznad moje pjesme» from Granata s Mrkovića. The remaining lines are:
Duk historia tramaɣa / Duk historia tramala
Semsta že avi radio
Roshtu tepen gulljo
Rušto tebe volljo
And I'd suppose they're meant to be:
Gok historija tragala?
Me što je ti radio?
Za što tebe volim? Oh!
Za što tebe volim? Oh!
These have no original that I can find behind them, they're just guesses.
The resulting original text for verse 1 would be:
Već trideseti sat kako smo
Sa svih strana zasuti granatama.
Jedna upravo ovog časa
Prolijeće iznad moje pjesme.
Trave će nas moliti
Da ih gazimo svojom mladošću.
Iznad moje pjesme
Gok historija tragala?
And for verse 2:
Trave će nas moliti
Da ih gazimo svojom mladošću.
Iznad moje pjesme
Njeznim sonetima
Gok historija tragala?
Me što je ti radio?
Za što tebe volim? Oh!
Za što tebe volim? Oh!
A nice mashup with not much meaning. I wonder why they chose a mashup as their original… if they did.
