Son qual lacera tartana
che, in orribile burrasca,
vinta casca
sotto al flutto,
e il poter de' cavalloni
la rimbalza verso i tuoni:
L'acqua salsa entra per tutto
e la bussola, il timone
più non ha regolator.
Dunque andiamo a discrezione
d'Euro, Noto o d'Aquilone...
Quando è rotto il bastimento,
il più fiero è il miglior vento
e si salva, e resta vivo
sol chi privo
è di timor!

Of fear!
