אני מביט אל העולם

אני מביט אל העולם
בו מאירה השמש,
בו זוהרים הכוכבים,
בו מונחות האבנים;
הצמחים צומחים וחיים,
החיות חיות ומרגישות;
בו האדם בתוך נפשו
משכן לרוח מעניק.
אני מביט אל תוך הנפש
אשר שוכנת בקרבי,
רוח אלוהים עורגת
באור השמש והנפש;
במרחבי העולם שם בחוץ,
במעמקי הנפש בפנים,
אלייך, הו רוח אלוהים
רוצה אני לפנות בבקשה,
שבתוכי יצמחו
הכוח והברכה
ללימוד ועבודה.

I Look Upon the World

I look upon the world
In which the sun shines,
In which the stars glisten,
In which the stones rest;
The flora is alive and blooming,
The fauna is alive and feeling;
In which Man, within his soul
Grants residence to the Spirit.
I look upon the soul
Which resides within me,
The Spirit of God yearns
Out in the sunlight and within the soul;
In the vast spaces of the world,
In the depths of the soul within,
O Spirit of God
I wish to kindly ask You,
That within me, shall bloom
The strength and the blessing
To study and work.
