We'd like to announce a new feature - Collections. From now on users with roles Junior Member+ can create their own collections of pages. One can add an artist, song or translation to the collection, or a mix. Creation of collection is awarded by 10 points.
Waiting for your feedback and suggestions, the feature is in beta-test phase.
The big question is HOW do we CREATE these collections? Or am I the only one who doesn't see the magical "create collection" button?

Ctrl+D has been my best way of making collections up to the moment. ;) Now it seems to become browser-independent...

try "Actions" -> "Create new collection" in the menu

Why not indeed but I still don't get it, sorry. What are the collections for? Is it just to show people the songs/singers you like and for your own pleasure?
Well, it's like "Favourites" shared across your various browsers.
Currently there is no way to collect all Eurovision songs by year (or them all) in one place, as they belong to their performers, but now for example I can create Eurovision 2017 collection and add them all to it. And it is just one thing that quickly came up to my mind.
[@lt], I think it will be good to be able to add also collection to collections. (But a recursion may be a problem.)

The bug is fixed, menu link should be available for Junior Members+ roles.
The bug has migrated to the mobile version. There's lot of room and food for it. :D
I see it now in the desktop version, but not in the mobile one.

Now onto adding something to collections, the interface is somewhat awful. I couldn't select neither "Крылья" nor "Boomerang" from JESC 2017 because there are just too much of them.
Still adding other collections may also be useful.
Additionally when collapsed, nothing is indicating what this or that item stands for.
It's a nice feature, though I'm finding it quite difficult to add some songs, especially those whose title is a single word: there are just too many results and the suggestions cannot show them all.
So, excuse my ignorance, does this feature have any similarity with the concept of a playlist?
Is it for sharing personal taste or is it more for a "serious" purpose (e.g. JESC as said before)?

Also the suggestions won't appear (at least in Firefox) if I press the "add Collection item" button. But if I "collapse" and "expand" it, it starts working OK.

Try to add them by pasting the URL into the "add item" box, as a workaround.
I.e., to add "Крылья" you can paste https://lyricstranslate.com/en/polina-bogusevich-%D0%BF%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%B... into the search box

Yes this is a recent addition. If URL is correct, the name of the page should appear in suggestions list under the box.

No, currently it is editable by one user only, and visible for everybody. We are open for requests for more features.

[@Ivan u7n] thanks for your reports, the bug was fixed. "Крылья" was added to your collection.
Yep now it seems to work (but a little earlier it gave me "no match for Крылья (entry) was found", but:
1) I still need to edit/add, collapse and then edit again for the suggestions to start working;
2) When I go to "Compilations" in my profile I get redirected to 8080 port (and I think this was the reason for the AJAX error).

1) We cannot reproduce the bug. Which version of Yandex.Browser do you use?

[@lt], it is browser independent in my case, I saw this behaviour in Firefox (the last version, it updates itself frequently) at work and Yandex.Browser (17.11.0.2193) at home.
The sure way for me to repeat it is: create a new collection, push the "Add Collection item" button: in this state there are no suggestions for whatever I type in the item box, press the "Collapse" button and then the "Edit" button: now suggestions start to appear.
Now I've tested it a little and if in a new collection I create just one item, no suggestions will appear, but if I add the second item, suggestions start to appear in both.
It doesn't work for the first item, as well as for the following ones in my Firefox too. :(
Collapsing-expanding does help. :)
Also I've noticed that then I press the "Edit" or "Collapse" button a lot of times, sometimes the browser scrolls up all the way to the top of the page. It is not always reproducible , but still very annoying. I can even guess the reason: the fade out and fade in of the page for the DOM change.
Additionally it seems that created collections are displayed as empty records in "friends feed".

Via the edit button I can also edit collections by other users - but since that button for normal users is only available for their own content, I strongly assume that also collections by other users can only be edited by editors/mods.

Also, that "show row weights"-feature is pretty handy for moving entries to the beginning or end of the list, but it's not exactly intuitive to use.
When getting a like on a collection, I get the notification "[user name] likes your forum topic" (i.e. it's wrongly referred to as a forum topic).

It's me again. ;) Displaying the description for the items is inconsistent. When editing items of a collection the line breaks are turned into paragraphs and video tags are parsed. But when viewing a collection there's no line breaks and video tags are left untouched.
Hey~ ! I love the idea of collections! But I have a suggestion.
I'm working on a Disney-Pixar song collection, and as you can imagine, it will be a BIG collection... so I think it'd be better if we could have an "Add collection item" button at the begining of the list too (not just at the end). When the list gets too long it turns tedious to scroll all the way down to add a new item. I don't think I'm gonna be the only one who makes a collection like this, so that could be an improvement.
(I know this is new~ so I'm not expecting everything to be perfect).
