Does the word "blondin" in the traditional Breton song, "Le Meunier Mathurin", mean something other than a blond-haired person?

Derrière de chez mon père, il y a un moulin
Le meunier qui l'habite est un fameux blondin.
Revenez-y donc ma jolie demoiselle
car il est, car il est en train mon moulin
Revenez-y donc ma jolie demoiselle
car il est en train de moudre le grain.

Par là passa une vieille qui voulait moudre son grain
Pour toi ma pauvre vieille mon moulin n'marche point.
Revenez-y donc...

Si tu as une fille, dis-lui d'passer demain
Quand la jeune fille arrive, le moulin marchait bien.
Revenez-y donc...

La jeune fille s'endort au tic-tac du moulin
Et quand elle se réveille, son p'tit sac était plein
Revenez-y donc...

De la farine blanche, la plus blanche du moulin.
Ah que va dire mon père de voir mon sac si plein!
Revenez-y donc...

Tu lui diras, ma belle, qu'c'est l'meunier Mathurin
Qui caresse les filles au tic-tac du moulin.
Revenez-y donc...

Hey there (:
As far as I can tell (considering this is in contemporary standard French, not in any kind of dialect), this word seems to indeed refer to a young and blonde-haired male.
see https://www.larousse.fr/dictionnaires/francais/blondin/9899 for reference
You might want to wait some to see if anyone comes up with some variant (but I'd say that'd be unlikely)
Best,
- Torp

Hi,
I think the word "blondin" in french (but it is not really used) means "a young blond-haired person". Often that refers to a child.
I hope I could help you

In this case, "blondin" means an incorrigible seducer, and not at all a blond haired young man !

Thank you @psq! Can you point me to any other instances of the word "blondin" used in this sense?

There's "Kpri - Flash" (I think it uses the alternative meaning, I'm not a native French speaker) but it's not yet on LT, but Google has it.
