Hey, driver, turn the hell back
Hey, driver, turn the hell back,
We'll take a new road home.
Hey, driver, turn the hell back,
It doesn't look like our neck of the woods.
The road is so rocky, can't get through!
See the (fallen) trees on the road, gotta hold on!
Turn the hell back!
Hey, driver, turn the hell back,
Don't trust these lights, they are not there to guide us.
Hey, buddy! Turn the hell back!
Hold your hat, don't drop the whip.
See the (fallen) trees on the road, can't get through!
The road is so rocky, gotta hold on!
Turn the hell back!
We're through, buddy, the road is clear!
We are out in the open, (look,) the moon is in the skies.
Give the horse some rest,
Before she drops dead.
Hey, give me a ciggy, oh, I need a smoke!
That was something, swear to god,
But, hell, we've made it through!!!

The song is called "Дорожная" = "Dorozhnaia" = "On the road" = "Song of the road".
"ямщик" = "driver" = "cabman" = "cabbie/cabby" (of a horse-drawn carriage)
"cabbie/cabby" might be a good choice.
A quote [here "yamstchik" = "ямщик" = "driver" in the title of this song]:
"To your inquiries whether it is safe, your yamstchik (post-boy) is sure to reply, "Nitchevo!"— a word which, according to the dictionaries, means "nothing," but which has, in the mouths of the peasantry, a great variety of meanings, as I may explain at some future time. In the present case it may be roughly translated, "There is no danger." "Nitchevo, Barin, proyedem" ("There is no danger, sir; we shall get over"), he repeats."
