Jesus Christ is Me

Jesus Christ is me
All the times that you put me on a cross
All the times where you're the queen
but on your head there are only many thorns

Jesus Christ is me
for the falsehoods that I forgave you for
and the prayers outside of the door
for my sacred abandoned temple

Confess it! That you’re the demon in my head
that always drags me down
Confess it!
that I don't deserve Heaven
that I wasn't genuflected
that I wasn't genuflected
and that I, too, will resurrect from you

Jesus Christ is me,
multiplying all patience
I'll have fed you and your arrogance
Maybe I even turned the other cheek

Jesus Christ is me
'cause I've made plenty of miracles
I took you in my arm and I brought you forth
but you only remember my sins!

Confess it! That you’re the demon in my head
that always drags me down
Confess it!
that I don't deserve Heaven
that I wasn't genuflected
that I wasn't genuflected
and that I, too, will resurrect from you

For all the thorns in the world
and the spikes planted in my heart,
this is my blood, this is my body
I'll take them away, love

For all the thorns in the world
and the spikes planted in my heart,
this is my blood, this is my body
I'll take them away, love

Confess it! That you’re the demon in my head
that always drags me down
Confess it!
that I don't deserve Heaven
that I wasn't genuflected
that I wasn't genuflected
and that I, too, will resurrect from you
that I, too, will resurrect from you
that I, too, will resurrect from you
that I will resurrect from you

When she says "forse ti ho porto pure l’altra guancia" the verb "porto" is present tense from "porgere" not "portare" as you've interpreted, and it is referring to the bible verse asking to turn the other cheek when you've been wronged. So the correct translation would be "I may have even turned the other cheek".
