Stanotte sì
Stanotte sì
sarai vicino a me
e l'alba
non verrà—
non verrà.
Stanotte sì
io sognerò con te
e la notte
mai più finirà.
Tra poco ancor
ti rivedrò,
sarò solo tuo,
in te mi perderò.
Stanotte sì
vicino a te sarò
e d'amor
vivrò.

Tra poco ancor
ti rivedrò,
sarò solo tuo,
in te mi perderò.
Stanotte sì
vicino a te sarò
e d'amor
vivrò.

Tonight, Yes
Tonight, yes,
you will be next to me
and dawn
will not arrive—
will not arrive.
Tonight, yes,
I will dream with you
and the night
will never end.
In yet a little while
I will see you again,
I will be yours alone,
I will lose myself in you.
Tonight, yes,
I will be next to you
and from love
will I live.
~~~~~
In yet a little while
I will see you again,
I will be yours alone,
I will lose myself in you.
Tonight, yes,
I will be next to you
and from love
will I live.
Russia is waging a disgraceful war on Ukraine. Stå med Ukraina!
This is an Italian adaptation (with Italian lyrics by Devilli, the pseudonym of Alberto Curci) of "Tonight" with music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. It was published in 1956 and used in the 1957 stage musical "West Side Story." See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonight_(West_Side_Story_song)
