Wo alles ohne Sinn erschien

He's Going to Come to See Me Tonight
I hear the wind and I hear the rain
The night is full of sadness
But not for me tonight, I'm going to wait for him tonight
And I know that he's going to come to see me tonight
The table is set, the candles are burning
Fire is flickering in the fireside
I'm counting the seconds, the hours are all forgotten
When everything seemed to be pointless
What once was and what happened is over now
I know, I know he's going to come tonight, he's going to come to see me tonight
And everything will be like before
Yeah, yeah, I know he's going to come tonight, he's going to come to see me tonight
And he'll never leave me alone again
After our fight two weeks ago
We met again on the train yesterday
There was no hesitation, my heart started beating
And he looked at me so happily
We were close to each other, what had happened before was over
I know, I know he's going to come tonight, he's going to come to see me tonight
And everything will be like before
Yeah, yeah, I know he's going to come tonight, he's going to come to see me tonight
And he'll never leave me alone again
Yeah, yeah, I know he's going to come tonight, he's going to come to see me tonight
And he'll never leave me alone again
Yeah, yeah, I know he's going to come tonight, he's going to come to see me tonight
Finally, he's going to come back

Yorumlar
Yeah, I see what you mean, but there seems to be something missing. It's not a factual statement, it's more like "I really, really know that he's going to come [but he never will]". I wanted to give this line a slightly desperate and awkward twist but that's all I could come up with. :-(

I know that the English translation sounds a bit clumsy, but actually, so do the German lyrics.
