By "Kчкчшка", I suppose you meant "Kукушка", because "Kчкчшка" would be very difficult to pronounce, even for a Russian...

Some input,
Onomatopoeia in Russian for this cuckoo sound is, ку ку (koo, koo). A meaning like 'Hello!' Used often amongst children and family. Kукушка is the bird, as you say a song by Viktor Tsoi.

Actually , «ку» как приветствие is nothing to do with кукушка-the bird in Russian Wink smile
‘Ky’ in modern Russian gamers’ slang means ‘hi’. The older people remember “Ky” from "Кин-дза-дза" фильм Георгия Данелия. Before that time, single ‘koo’ meant nothing...

In families, when we used to played a “pick a boo” game with infants we used to say «ку-ку» Regular smile

Тhe other meaning I know in Russian for ку-ку is to be a bit loony, dah...

You are perfectly correct; I have no embedded cyrillic keyboard and sometimes I misuse the letters. I asked the IT of Lt to got some, but I perfectly understand they can't; otherwise it will be the same for a lot of others languages...

I understand how difficult it is to write in Russian when you can use only a very small virtual keyboard. What's more the same letters that you have also in a Latin alphabet are placed on completely different keys. That's why after making only four translations I said "No more!".

I go back to my Russian language after 36 years. That's why. But this language is so wonderful when you listen to very good speaker (my love one is V. "Visotski" and very artfull to read in.
So far when it comes to write either with a key board or by hand it comes to a lot of trouble.... I agree with you.... But go on please: it is supposed to keep Alzeimer at bay..... Yes Da

To keep Alzheimer at bay I learn Spanish, but I translate from Russian from time to time. Wink smile

Perfectly well. But what the strengh of it is that (I am engineer) it was done with so little means (hard inputs) and a lot of moral willingness to fight Hitler. I do admire. I do know also how many deads are behind....
