Hi. So I'm here so that I can make use of the time I spend studying languages, and to thank the community for providing me translations for the past years, and what better way to do that than to translate songs myself. That's actually how I learned languages in the past, as it was by listening to foreign songs and remembering the lyrics to them. It is much easier when you have some sort of an emotional connection to the new vocab you give yourself to study. Oh yeah, I also used to watch a lot of foreign dramas.
For my languages. I was born in Canada so although my English isn't too good, I'd say I am fluent in English. My mother tongue is Cantonese and I actually went to Chinese school to learn Mandarin and become Chinese literate. Though my mom was quite unhappy with me quitting at a young age due to lack of interest, I am glad that when I was 14 I started picking up the studies again after watching this mando-pop MV. At the same time that was when I started taking French in school. At first I found French alright and I never practiced it much. However after discovering how the language worked, I liked it a lot and enjoyed learning it. Even to this day as I am not in school (for the time being) I still muster in some time to improve my French vocab. I don't feel to comfortable translating songs from French, yet, as I've never really used it in real life. Albeit I will try my very best to satisfy the French Gods and give back to the kind hearts of LT. Yea, that's me.
