حلّ في القلب سنيناً يحتسي
من حميّاه ودادي والنعيم
 
حلّ عشقًا في السويداء وقد
صار جزءاً من فؤادي بالصميم

فعروقي تشتهي فيها تقيم
 
!أنتَ تحيا في كياني والهوى
فيهِ أحيا كيف أسلو أو ألوم ؟
فيه عمري وشبابي والمُنى
ومعاني الشعر في الرؤيا تهيم
 
يا شقيقَ الروح فاستوصي بهِ
قد ملكتَ القلب ذيّاك الكليم
كن ودودًا مثل ما ودّ وكُن
كن رحيمًا مثلما كان الرحيم
