why do I love you?
- 1. it's a form of exaggeration typical in Arabic love songs especially, used for emphasis purposes

sleepless.swans في 2018-01-02Thank you for the incredibly fast translation!
I want to ask about these lyrics:
"It's me who chose to forget you
And forgetfulness reminded me of you"
What does it mean really? He left her? How can forgetfulness remind him of her? I don't understand this bit.
"No date gathers us
and no happiness, no dreams"
What does he mean by a 'date not gathering us'? Does he mean time doesn't come for the lovers?
Thank you in advance!

You're welcome.
"It's me who chose to forget you
And forgetfulness reminded me of you" just means that he cannot forget her no matter what. It doesn't make much sense literally, but in Arabic it's clearer because these kinds of exaggerations are all too common in Arabic love songs
"No date gathers us
and no happiness, no dreams" the 'date' here means a romantic date. He means that it's impossible for them to meet again even in dreams, and happiness is no longer associated with them.
I hope that it's more clear for you. Feel free to drop any questions and I'll be happy to answer them.
