This translation is as close to literal as possible while still trying its best to maintain the song's beauty. The other translations are not as precise or grammatically correct, so I thought I would add mine since I am fluent in both American English and Russian.
*pучей is a very small stream, which matches the definition of "brook."
**Милая has many translations, but 'dear' seems like the best one. Милая моя could also be more indirectly translated to 'dear one'
