Befouled sounds like something out of Shakespeare!

What has she done to the bed? If it's smashed up then "wrecked" is fine. If she has made it dirty then "soiled" is better...

I agree with 'soiled' but it has less figurative meaning. :( Befouled is better, indeed, though it's used rarely. I don't even tell of 'besmeared'... :)
