The Consumer

The consumer says that he's eating in order to eat
The consumer talks nonsense in order to talking nonsense
His brothers are standing around the radio
They're listening to the political mumbling
Then they all together sit down at the table
Drink vodka, chat, they have violet faces
And when they don't eat and drink more
They gather in crowds in front of the television set
 
And they all are bombarded with rubbish
They all get covered up with information

When the consumer knows that it's fashionable
He talks about the war in the East M
He says what he heard on the radio and in the newspaper
Whether the consumer is you?
They're so anxious that you are the consumer
Wouldn't think, would act like an instrument
Since the consumer says that he's eating in order to eat
So think about it – do you eat in order to eat?
