1. A witch from Norse mythology, as far as I know she was associated with the future (with Urðr being associated with the past, and Verðandi the present), hence the references to prophecy.
2. I’m surprised this is not ‘metist’ mest, as that would line up more with the passive construction I was expecting and have translated.
3. Not at all sure about the last 1.5 lines here, this is the most sense I can get from it but it may be a stretch, corrections welcome as always.
